Great Moments in Teen Shows #2: 5 Dramatic Shootings

Since Palisades Pool Party has its own shooting storyline in the works, we've decided to revisit the 5 most dramatic shootings in some of our favorite teen shows.

5. South of Nowhere

A drive-by shooting outside the Prom takes Clay's life, leaving his family wounded physically and emotionally. They had to kill the black guy. Inspired by the shark in DEEP BLUE SEA?

4. Degrassi: The Next Generation

Rick, the most hated kid in Degrassi history (he beat his GF into a coma) can’t take it anymore. He shoots Jimmy (who becomes paralyzed from the waist down and confined to a wheelchair for the rest of the series) and when Sean attempts to stop him, the gun fires, killing Rick. He brought the gun to school, should we feel bad for him?

3. One Tree Hill

More school shootings and sibling rivalry!  Jimmy, a chubby geek (who has been ditched by his friends, Lucas, Mouth and Skillz over the years) shoots up the school injuring Peyton and taking his own life.

Uncle Keith attempted to stop him but clearly fails.  Then left alone in the hall with dead Jimmy and the gun, Keith is shot and killed by his brother Dan in a misguided attempt at revenge. Oops.

2. The OC
Marissa shoots Trey to save Ryan to break up a classic case of brother versus brother gone bad. Trey survives the incident, is briefly in a coma and finally is written off the show. Imogen Heap blows up and SNL gets spoof happy. The original scene could be its own spoof as well.

And for even more laughs, watch the SNL “Dear Sister” Spoof:

1. Beverly Hills, 90210

David’s childhood best friend, Scott accidentally shoots himself during his birthday party. I miss Brian Austin Green. When is his cameo on the new 90210? Which is really due for a dramatic shooting of its own.  Someone want to take out Annie?
